Residual Current Device
Product Description
A residual current device (RCD) detects leakage current to earth and trips the circuit quickly to protect people against electric shock and to reduce fire risk from earth faults. It monitors the vector sum of the line and neutral currents and operates when the residual current exceeds the rated sensitivity, typically 30 mA for personal protection. It can be supplied as a standalone RCD or combined with overcurrent protection as an RCBO.
RCD performance depends on precise tripping parameters, so we can configure rated sensitivity, poles and breaking capacity to the application, with OEM branding. Batch production with 100% inspection verifies tripping consistency before delivery, which is important for buyers supplying safety-critical products.
