Product Description
A compact bus duct, also known as a busway or busbar trunking system, is a prefabricated enclosed conductor system used to transmit large currents between switchgear, transformers and load centers. Conductors are enclosed in a compact metal housing with factory-made joints and tap-off points, replacing long cable runs where current is high or installation space is limited. The compact cross-section, low voltage drop and flexible tap-off capability make it a common backbone for high-rise buildings, industrial plants and commercial complexes.
Bus duct routes are unique to each building, so lengths, joint positions and tap-off locations are produced against the site layout drawings to avoid field cutting and improvisation. For large projects, batch production keeps dimensional consistency across long runs, which simplifies installation and reduces site work.
