The wiring methods and techniques for PLC control cabinets directly affect the stability of equipment operation and the ease of later maintenance. It is necessary to operate according to the circuit characteristics and actual needs to reduce signal interference and potential faults.

 

Common wiring methods should be selected according to the circuit type. Power circuits often use bolt crimping to connect the main circuit wires to the terminals of contactors, circuit breakers, and other devices. When crimping, terminals with matching wire diameters must be selected to ensure tight contact and avoid overheating.

 

Control circuits commonly use plug-in wiring, connecting PLC modules to external components through terminal blocks or plugs. Before wiring, the wire numbers must be checked to ensure consistency with the drawings to prevent incorrect connections. Signal circuits require careful shielding. Sensor signal lines should use shielded wires, with the shield grounded at one end to reduce the impact of electromagnetic interference on weak signals.

 

Wiring techniques must balance safety and neatness. Cabinet wiring should be zoned according to voltage level, with high-voltage and low-voltage lines laid separately to avoid crossing or overlapping. Strong and weak current circuits should be run in different cable trays, with wires arranged orderly within the trays and sufficient space reserved for heat dissipation. Maintain proper curvature at wire bends to avoid excessive bending that could damage the insulation. The bending radius should be at least six times the wire diameter.

 

Attention to detail is crucial. Wire ends should be clearly marked, with wire numbers matching the drawings and designed to prevent detachment. Reserve sufficient length of spare wire, neatly coiled and placed in the wire channel for future expansion. After wiring, wrap exposed conductors with insulating sleeves and check for loose connections; ensure terminals do not shift when the wires are shaken.

 

Adjustments are necessary for special scenarios. In vibrating environments, add anti-loosening measures to terminals; in humid environments, use moisture-proof wiring materials. After wiring, clean the cabinet to remove debris, ensuring no metal shavings remain to prevent short circuits.

 

Standardized wiring and cabling reduce the probability of PLC control cabinet failures, improve signal transmission reliability, and provide a fundamental guarantee for the stable operation of automation systems.
