The number of cables exiting a distribution box is not arbitrarily determined; there are three main factors at play:
Space Layout: The box dimensions determine the maximum number of circuits that can be installed.
Heat Dissipation Requirements: At least 15% additional space must be reserved for heat dissipation for each additional outgoing circuit.
Maintenance Convenience: At least 30cm of operating space must be maintained between outgoing cables.
